It started with random scrooolling when i encountered news about new open-model by open ai, one 20bn and another 120bn params.

Went through their article, got gist of it but don't really have much of an experience with LLMs when it comes to running them locally and despite my interest in ai etc. back during college days i have been caring little about it.

Anyway so just scrolling and i realized that i could use ollama, another great easy simple tool to run these, well atleast.....

Decline of discourse on twitter, well this is nothing new. This is not limited to twitter but since i have a bit of experience so will use this as an example. Way back during my college days i had joined twitter, never really cared about politics but as i joined i got into lots of interesting circles. CS guys, web devs making cool stuff, even later we had roon at peak, yacine working on dingbot...vibes were interesting. Memes were there but there are was this close-knit circle, once you got in you got exposed to great many peeps in IT, cse,.....

This is not about uttaraayan, where so far i have not been caring about the file size, pretty evident from the fact i randomly upload full gifs as small board tags so on.

It's related to bharatchan, as a dev there, recently found out the user's complain about 5seconds to 10 seconds of page load time - which is bad.

So i started investigating, it couldn't be database queries since even worse hosting services with worse indexing and almost 300k+ posts i never faced that issue. We looked into if db was hitting the cache limi.....
