It started with random scrooolling when i encountered news about new open-model by open ai, one 20bn and another 120bn params.

https://openai.com/open-models/

Went through their article, got gist of it but don't really have much of an experience with LLMs when it comes to running them locally and despite my interest in ai etc. back during college days i have been caring little about it.

Anyway so just scrolling and i realized that i could use ollama, another great easy simple tool to run these, well atleast just 20bn one, locally and that's when it all began.

I downloaded the models, on my slow speed here it took a bit of time but once done i can't express how great it felt running these locally.

Running this locally lowkey give me feeling of those filmbook devices from dune movie.

Screenshots below from the movie,

Anyway so i downloaded and i ran, it was alright but that's how the curiosity started and then i downloaded few more models.

Upon exchange with some anons some suggested few prompts i realized these were limited due to the censorship and tried uncensored versions too. Very interesting stuff. Made few games for testing - basic ones using canvas api in browser, with html / css and js.

Then Some anon mentioned civitai and i can try running image models. So that's when i despite past experience first time formally ran comfyui setup, downloaded few models to run locally and results were more than i could expect.

Will share more results later. Nonetheless these are interesting times.
